Joey Santos

Digital DJ Tips
Assistant Editor
From playing High School parties with a mobile soundsystem to producing artists and composing original music at his Love One Another Sound Production studio, DJ Joey Santos has been playing and making music for more than half his life. Growing up with Rock and Hip Hop influences, he found himself absorbed by the emerging House and Trance scene of the late 90′s and early 2000′s, as evidenced by his continued reverence for local DJ heroes Toti Dalmacion (Groovenation) and Manolet Dario (NBK).

His love for both commercial and underground electronic music proved to be an interesting dichotomy: It was an opportunity to experience both ends of the music spectrum, a quality manifested in his schizophrenic and seemingly chaotic live sets filled with both easy-access dance gems and challenging electronic cuts.

He works as an Assistant Editor for UK-based DJ blog Digital DJ Tips, contributing articles and helping manage the largest community of digital DJs in the world today. He’s also behind subMNL, a weekly YouTube show featuring Manila’s DJs playing strictly non-commercial music.
